Meany notification list. Simply type in a name and email and click send. what can be easier then that.
Work Parties
It takes a LOT of work to maintain Meany. Even if you can only come up for a couple of hours,
you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. A major focus this season will be giving North
and South Slobovia a serious haircut. (To non-Meanyites these are names of particular locations on
runs the Meany hill) We will also be replacing the rope on the Mach Tow. ("Mach" being the name of
our fastest tow rope). The senior committee has accomplished lots of heavy maintenance on the snow
cats, but they still need the help of "the young bucks". So we will likely get involved in assisting,
like replacing the tracks on Moose and Tom Cat. Click on
track installation,
and scroll down to the bottom to view videos of the last time we did this.

Meany Winter Season Pass
Yes I know what you are saying:
"The webmaster needs help, here it is August, and he not only is he pitching an October
mushrom event, but he is trying to sell us on an event for next year !!!!"
Well this is just my subtle way of reminding all Meanyites that the 2010-11 Meany Winter season pass
will be available starting October 1
st. If you are an avid snow player, (like some of the
Mean staff) then this is a deal that can't be beat.
MOFA @ Meany
Through out the year Meany offers MOFA. You will attend a one day session at the club house a week
or so before coming to Meany for a weekend. The advantages are:
- Done in less then two weekends
- Realism of environment - you are learning to help someone in the wilderness, what better way to
practice then in the actual wilderness
- Meany meals and snacks (lots)
To sign up, check out the MOFA section of The Mountaineers Go-Guide or do an activity search for MOFA
on The Mountaineers
web page
Meany Group Rental
Excluding the winter season, Meany is available for group rentals. If your group wants the quietness
of a Forest setting and still have simple amenities (ie showers), then Meany is the place. In fact we
have groups that have standing yearly reservations:
- Kent Girl Scout Unit winter weekend
- Seattle University Freshman orientation retreat
- Garfield "The Messenger" planning retreat
- Oak Harbor youth group winter weekend
