Work Parties

It takes a LOT of work to maintain Meany. Even if you can only come up for a couple of hours, you will be surprised at what you can accomplish. A major focus this season will be giving North and South Slobovia a serious haircut. (To non-Meanyites these are names of locations on the Meany hill) We will also be replacing the rope on the Mach Tow. ("Mach" being the name of our fastest tow rope). The senior committee has accomplished lots of heavy maintenance on the snow cats, but they still need the help of "the young bucks". So we will likely get involved in assisting, like replacing the tracks on Moose and Tom Cat. Click on track installation, and scroll down to the bottom to view videos of the last time we did this. The dates are posted on the Calendar but the here they are:

Come See what you can offer to keep this "hidden gem" going for generations to come, not to mention next season, even if it is only for a day. And of course there are always extra attractions on some of the weekends:

So please come, join the fun, and help to keep Meany running for years to come. For midweek work parties, please contact Ray Nelson, for weekend work parties, register by clicking on Weekend Work parties

NOTE: Climbing and High School Students Note - Meany Work Parties count as your Community Service credit.

Meany - Your Get Away Spot

Excluding the winter season, Meany is available to private groups for off-site meeting, retreats, workshops or training events. If your group wants the quietness of a Forest setting and still have home amenities (ie showers & kitchen), then Meany, only 60 miles from downtown Seattle, is the place. In fact we have groups that have standing yearly reservations. For further information, please contact our chairperson, Chuck Welter:
