Meany Lodge Family Hiking Weekend 2013
Come join us at Meany Lodge for an adventure filled weekend of hiking, great food and family fun. Meany Lodge will be adventure central July 20 and 21, for exciting outdoor activities for all ages.
Hikes are organized for both Saturday and Sunday in the Stampede and Snoqualmie Pass areas. Choose from hikes suitable for children as young as 2 or others considered strenuous. We are adding Mountain Bike outings around the lodge roads and down through the John Wayne tunnel this year. Swim in a mountain lake, or take a berry hike through acres of salmon berries, huckleberries, and wild strawberries.
After the day of hiking, return to the lodge to clean up, relax with new friends and enjoy the afternoon and evening activities. Saturday afternoon includes a special program and age appropriate activities. In the past we have hosted dog sled demonstrations, searched for hidden treasure (Geocaching) and made our own kites to fly. Everybody will enjoy the scrumptious family dinner and desert.
Sunday morning starts early with a hearty breakfast. And, after making your own sack lunch (everything will be provided), we head off for another day of adventure.
It's your choice of accommodations. Sleep in the lodge, or pitch a tent under the stars. There is ample space to camp close to the lodge, or you can find your own secluded spot on the property. The lodge facilities are available to you all night including men's and women's restrooms and showers. The lodge sleeps 90 in three hostel-style dorms for women, men, and families. There is limited self-contained motor home parking at Meany.
