Summer driving directions
After you get off the freeway, “Meany” signs may be posted along the route. Allow 1.5 hours from Seattle to drive to Meany. Download a printable version of the summer driving directions with map.
- Drive EAST on I-90 to Exit 62, 5 miles past the summit
- Take Exit 62 Lake Kachees/Stampede Pass
- Turn RIGHT toward Stampede Pass and proceed SOUTH past the Crystal Springs campground on Forest Service Road #54 for 1.6 miles.
- Turn LEFT on Forest Service Road #420, and proceed for 1.7 miles to the railroad tracks
- Parallel the tracks until you reach the crossing. Please use extreme caution when crossing the tracks, as the trains are quiet and fast. Look both ways especially to your right,
- Proceed a couple hundred yards up the hill to the lodge.
