Meany Lodge Family Hiking Weekend 2008
Come join us at Meany Lodge for an adventure filled weekend of hiking, great food and family fun. Meany Lodge will be adventure central August 2 and 3, for exciting outdoor activities for all ages.
Hikes are organized for both Saturday and Sunday in the Stampede and Snoqualmie Pass areas. Choose from hikes suitable for children as young as 2 or others considered strenuous. Swim in a mountain lake, or take a berry hike through acres of salmon berries, huckleberries, and wild strawberries.

After the day of hiking, return to the lodge to clean up and relax with friends. Everybody will enjoy afternoon and evening activities, as well as, a scrumptious family dinner and desert. In the afternoon, Michael and Doreen Johnston bring their dog team to Meany. This is a great opportunity to learn about the dogs and equpment up close. Kids and adults can help feed and harness the dogs for the demonstration. After dinner, the Johnston's will present an evening slide program about dog sledding, and a representitve of Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will talk to us about railway-crossing safety.
Sunday morning starts early with a hearty breakfast. And, after making your own sack lunch (everything will be provided), we head off for another day of adventure.
It's your choice of accommodations. Sleep in the lodge, or pitch a tent under the stars. There is ample space to pitch a tent close to the lodge, or you can find your own secluded spot on the property. The lodge facilities are available to you all night including men's and women's restrooms and showers. The lodge sleeps 90 in three hostel-style dorms for women, men, and families. There is limited self-contained motor home parking at Meany.
